Catherine Menage Vallance
Catherine Menage Vallance - Chairman

Catherine Menagé is a publisher, teacher, writer, translator and consultant. She has written and translated works on subjects as varied as sailing, anthropology and the art of perfume. A sometime Board member of the Editions de L’Ocean Indien and of Charles O’Neill House (Matthew Talbot Hostel), she also has extensive hands-on experience of not-for-profit organisations in Cambridge, Sydney.


Prof Neville Hacker - Founder
Prof Neville Hacker - Founder
MD, FRANZCOG, FRCOG, FACOG, FACS, CGO

He is the Director of the Gynaecological Cancer Centre, Royal Hospital for Women, Randwick and Conjoint Professor of Gynaecological Oncology at the University of New South Wales. He is a past Chairman of the Oncology Committee of the RANZCOG, past Chairman of Examiners for the RANZCOG Oncology Certificate, and past President of the International Gynecologic Cancer Society (IGCS).

He received the prestigious Wertheim Prize from The Austrian Society of Gynaecological Oncologists in 2007, and the IGCS Award for Excellence in 2008, for his international contributions to gynaecological cancer. He was a New South Wales finalist in the Australian of the Year Awards in 2008.

As an expert in clinical research, he is medical adviser to the Committee, ensuring that basic research is directed towards clinically relevant issues.

Federal Magistrate Sylvia Emmett
Federal Magistrate Sylvia Emmett

Sylvia Emmett was a member of the Royal Hospital for Women Hospital Advisory Council which provided advice to the government on relevant women's issues pertaining to the rebuilding of the RWH at its new Randwick campus, including recommending the establishment of a hospital foundation to address the fundraising needs of the new RWH.

Sylvia was a founding member with Professor Hacker and others in establishing the GO Research Fund in 1995. She was appointed as a judge of the Federal Magistrate Court of Australia in 2004.


Denise King
Denise King

Denise has a previous background in marketing and a strong involvement in volunteer work in a number of organizations, including her local community. Women’s health issues are extremely important to Denise hence her commitment to the GO Research Fund.


Dr. Cornelia Hentzsch
Dr. Cornelia Hentzsch - PhD, BPharm, FAICD

Born in Berlin, West Germany, Cornelia started working in the Pharmaceutical Industry in 1986 and came to Australia in 1989 because of her Australian husband. Cornelia is Managing Director of the major International Pharmaceutical Company, Mundipharma Pty. Ltd. which specialises in pain management. The company was established in Australia in 1998 in New Zealand in 2005.

Cornelia is a Member of the Boards of both countries and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. She is very committed to supporting clinical research.

John Banfield
John Banfield

John Banfield is Senior Vice President and General Manager in the Asia Pacific Region at Transaction Network Services (TNS). John has taken a personal interest and is committed to the success of the GO Research Fund as a consequence of cancer impacts and survival within his immediate family.


Robert Keith Hunter
Robert Keith Hunter

Professional Chartered Accountant, Corporate Advisor, Financial Advisor, Auditor, Liquidator and Superannuation specialist. Bachelor of Commerce; Registered Public Practitioner, Tax Agent, Auditor, Financial Advisor and Liquidator in Norfolk Island; Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Specialist Member of Superannuation Professionals Association and Member of NSW Justices’ Association formerly Member of Australian Society of Accountants and the Australian Institute of Management.


Kristin Austin
Kristin Austin

Kristin has more than 16 years' experience in developing strategic marketing and communications programs across a broad range of industries, her favourite being healthcare. Her clients have included the Dept of Health & Ageing, Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Novartis, Apple, Horticulture Australia, Pizza Hut, American Express, Royal Automobile Club of Australia.

Kristin's ability to create strategic, yet dynamic communication campaigns won her two consecutive 'highly commendeds' in the Public Relations Industry Association's (PRIA) highly competitive, Golden Target Awards.

Committed to developing industry practitioners at all levels, Kristin lectures in the MBA marketing program at UTS, PRIA's continuing education program for senior practitioners and is a senior lecturer with APM Training Institute where she teaches marketing, PR and writing.
